Magic Butter Fish

  • Post author:

One of my favorite fish recipes. It’s simply Magic. We love the taste of parmesan and butter with fish on this one. If she askes me what protein we have and I say fish this is usually the most requested recipe. Like most of my recipes, any whitefish will do. I learned what spices go best alongside the Magic seasoning as well as adding the peppers in the bake makes a really flavorful dish.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb any Whitefish, I used Tilapia in the video
  • Vegetables for the side
  • 2 Jalapeños cut into slices
  • 2 baby peppers cut into slices
  • Chef Paul Prudhomme Blackened Redfish Magic
  • 1/2 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsp oregano
  • 2 spoonfuls minced garlic
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 6-8 tbsp butter
  • 1/2 c Parmesan
  • S/P to taste

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 400.
  • Dice up the vegetables and arrange on a grate in a sheet on the oven rack with the peppers to use in the fish dish in a corner.
  • Pat the fish dry and drizzle with S/P and Magic seasoning and set aside.
  • In a bowl add the melted butter and seasonings and stir.
  • After the veggies have been in the oven for 15 minutes take them out,
  • Pam up a casserole dish, put half the pepper slivers and a lil bit of the butter sauce on the bottom, cover with the fish, add the rest of the peppers and all the butter sauce and throw both in the oven.
  • After 10 more minutes take the fish dish out and sprinkle the Parmesan over the top and return it to the oven with the Veggies.
  • After 5 or more minutes determined by how thick the fish is take everything out and serve if the fish is white and flaky.
  • Place it on top of noodles or rice, it wasn’t cheat day in the video so I went with that healthy stuff, not bad to be honest.
  • Abracadabra, its Magic!
