Watching an el Chapo documentary and cooking pork chops a new way got me to come up with the name. But this is how I should be cooking pork chops all along. Their great!
Ingredients
- 4 bone in pork chops 1-1 1/2 inches thick
- 1 tsp chili powder
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp ground mustard
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 1 tbsp parsley
- 4 tbsp olive oil
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400° and grease baking sheet with oil
- Make the seasoning by mixing the seasonings in a small bowl
- Place the pork chops on the baking pan and rub oil over each side of the chops.
- Season the pork chops on both sides with the seasoning.
- Place the pork chops in the oven to bake for 22 minutes or to a temp of 145°.
- Carefully remove from the oven and rest them for 3-5 minutes.
- Bone-in pork chops should cook for 8-10 minutes per ½ inch of thickness at 400°
